About the Blog
Thomas Hudgins. “Tom” is an artist/designer who works with various subject matters, themes and media. He spent his formative years in rural Mathews county, Virginia, near the Chesapeake Bay.
After high school Tom served in the U.S. Army, studied computer electronics at E.C.P.I. in Hampton, Virginia and liberal arts at Christopher Newport University. In 1996, He transferred his life and studies to The University of Maine in Orono to major in Studio Art.
At the university, he was influenced by a combination “traditional” and “alternative” art forms, multimedia and natural elements. In 2000, he graduated from The University of Maine in Orono with a BA in Studio Art. His work has appeared in The Eastport Gallery, The Bangor Ireland/Maine Print Exchange 2000, Gallery 25 and locally in Bangor Maine. He continues working with his personal history and travels as an influence for his paintings and digital photo montages. He currently resides in Bradford Maine, with his partner Bill and son Ross, where he can observe nature and the trees.
